TRADITION AND MODERNITY IN THE HEART OF RIO
DEVELOPMENT FACADE PHOTO
AN ARCHITECTURAL LANDMARK WITH MORE THAN 90 YEARS OF HISTORY
Built in 1931, during the height of Art Deco architecture in Rio de Janeiro, Castelo Building emerged as a symbol of urban modernity of the time. Its elegant lines and characteristic ornamentation reflect the innovative spirit of an era that transformed the carioca landscape, establishing aesthetic standards that endure to this day. More than a decade ago, it underwent a meticulous retrofit project that became a reference in the carioca real estate market, strategically uniting two historic buildings - Castelo Building and Nilomex Building - into an integrated development that multiplies occupation possibilities. The project rigorously respected the original architectural elements, preserving facades, ornamental details and the imposing Art Deco structure, while completely modernizing internal systems with automated elevators, state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure, efficient HVAC systems and contemporary electrical installations harmoniously integrated with the historic heritage.
